Level Switch NV14P-KM

The Elniva NV14P-KM is a fully mechanical diaphragm level switch for dry bulk materials, fitted with a compensation diaphragm. This allows the switch to be mounted inside the vessel, where a conventional air inlet would not work. No electronics, no calibration, and unaffected by dust or build-up.

Use the NV14P-KM for

• High or low level monitoring in silos and hoppers where the switch sits inside the vessel
• Damp or dusty environments requiring a higher enclosure rating — IP65
• Overfill protection in conveyors, cleaning machines, dryers and weighing equipment

Typical materials: grain, seed, animal feed, sand, gravel, coal, wood pellets, granulates, plastic pellets and beans. The NV14 series is intended for heavier granular material.

Mounting, and how it differs from the NV14P

The NV14P-KM has the same flange, fixing holes and rubber gasket as the NV14P. The difference is that the air inlet with bronze filter is replaced by a compensation diaphragm, which is required when the switch is mounted inside the vessel. The enclosure rating is therefore IP65 rather than IP54.

Overload protection: diaphragm travel is limited to approximately 3–4 mm, so the internal parts cannot be damaged by high material pressure.

Note: positive pressure in the vessel cannot be compensated. Diaphragm switches must not be used in pressure vessels.
